THERE is a lot of talk at present about long term prison sentences not being a deterrent.
They will not be effective if you have central heating, televisions, body-building facilities, a full library, and many other luxuries.
They should also not be allowed to blaspheme at the wardens in charge.
There have been a lot of comments in particular about Dartmoor prisons. One must remember that most of the men are there because they are hardened criminals who are guilty of crimes such as rape, murder, and drug dealing!
In my opinion these scum had no feelings towards their victims, who may have suffered for many many years. So why should we have any feelings towards them?
The Government needs to wake up and get the prison system sorted out!
