LEIGH RMI will be looking to bounce back from their double nightmare in the cups when they visit Hereford's Edgar Street on Saturday.

And they could welcome a huge boost to the squadas Mark Westhead - who was expected to sign for League of Wales side Barry Town this week - could start in goal for the Railwaymen.

Leigh's progression in both the Lancashire Cup and the FA Trophy was halted by Accrington Stanley and Margate respectively in the last 10 days, but Steve Waywell is looking to build on his sides' two successive league wins that have helped RMI ease themselves out of the drop zone.

"Of course, every game isa cup final for us in our situation but team spirit has probably never been better than it is now and I am just looking forward to Saturday's game. The lads will be really up it and to get back into a groove and Hereford are only a few places above us so it should be a really tight game."

On former history, the description of the game as 'tight' seems to be very accurate. In five previous meetings with the ex-Football League side, there have been only nine goals including a particularly drab meeting at Edgar Street in last season's FA Trophy when both sides could only muster two attempts on goal between them.

Leigh have scored six goals in their last two Conference games and look to field a similar side to the one that comfortably defeated Northwich two weeks ago.
