A TEENAGE girl suffered minor injuries after being hurt in a collision with a van on a pelican crossing.
Vicky Louise Kay, aged 13, was crossing Brownlow Way near to the junction of Nottingham Drive when the accident happened at about 6.15pm yesterday. The driver of the LDV van, Darren Halewood, aged 24, of Arnold Street, Halliwell, was not injured.
Vicky, of Roocroft Court, Halliwell, was with three friends when she was crossing the road.
She suffered bruising, a swollen arm and cuts to her head and was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital. Vicky was released after treatment and is recovering at home.
None of the other children were injured. Bolton traffic police are appealing for witnesses to the accident to call them on 0161 856 5972.
