CHARITABLE people in Greater Manchester raised £151,016 for Children in Need.
The sum was collected by BBC GMR, helping to boost the national total to £13 million.
Pledges are still pouring in, according to the event's organisers. Terry Wogan, who presented the Children in Need TV show on Friday, said: "The event really does make a difference for many thousands of children across the country."
