BOLTON MPs have been braving the wet weather and chatting to members of the public as part of local democracy week.
MP for Bolton West, Ruth Kelly and MP for Bolton South-east, Dr Brian Iddon, discussed issues with passers-by in Victoria Square in a bid to help residents learn more about the work of local government.
A group of sixth formers were invited to take part in a debate with Bolton councillors in the council chamber about the controversial issue of national identity cards.
