BOLTON Rivers angler Paul Johnson thought he was fishing in an aquarium when he caught seven varieties of species in the Doe Hey Open.
He caught chub to 3lbs, tench to 3lbs, bream to 2lbs, perch of a 1lb a carp of 7lbs along with crusian carp and skimmers which all tipped the scales to a winning 22lbs-12ozs-0drs. Marvellous Marvin Hyde was second when the Apollo Motors man caught a 10lb carp which helped in his finishing weight of 15lbs-6ozs-0drs. Tony Mayoh of Shorrocks Bros was third with 12lbs-6ozs-0drs. Bob Fearnhead with 11-6-0 and John Wharmby with 5-15-0 won the sections.
