POLICE are concerned for the welfare of a Whitefield student who disappeared last week.
Mark Robert Hughes was last seen at 6pm on Thursday at his home in Pinfold Lane, where he lives with his parents and brothers.
The 19-year-old is a student at Manchester University and works at a bar in the city centre.
Mark is slim, 6ft 2 ins tall with auburn hair.
Detective Sergeant Duncan Heywood, of Bury's Operational Police Unit, said: "There is no known reason for Mark to go missing and he has never done this before.
"There was no note left, nothing was said to his family and there is no reason to suspect that any harm has befallen him.
"His family are extremely worried and they would like him to ring home or call the police to let us know he is safe and well."
