FIREFIGHTERS tackled a garage fire in Abram while propane gas cylinders exploded around them.
The fire destroyed the garage and a greenhouse, and damaged a shed and the owner's vintage Triumph Stag.
Hindley and Wigan Firefighters arrived at the scene at 3.30am today but three propane gas cylinders in the garage and greenhouse exploded.
The garage was in an allotment at the back of houses.
Police believe the fire was started deliberately and are investigating.
