WHAT'S in a name?

Well, a car on loan and a parcel of goodies for the girl who shares her name with the new Suzuki.

Liana Lonsdale, aged 10, of Middlebrook Drive, Lostock, could never find badges or souvenirs printed with her name and always came out of gift shops disappointed.

So her grandmother was quick to point it out when she spotted a picture of the latest Suzuki in a magazine.

Liana means "Life In A New Age" in Japanese and was chosen by her parents out of a book of names.

Liana was so pleased to discover she shared her name with the car, she wrote to the company and told them -- and was thrilled when she received a large parcel.

Mum Anne said: "She received a lovely letter saying she must be a very special person to have such a beautiful name.

"She got lots of goodies, including a limited edition pewter model of the car, a poster, two pens and Rosy the Rhino, a cuddly mascot."

Liana, a Year Six pupil at St Bernard's RC School in Wendover Drive, Ladybridge, was so pleased she sent a thank you letter back to the company. And the next day, the family received a telephone call inviting them to take part in a "Rhino Rally" in Bradford and offering them the loan of a Liana car for the weekend.

Anne, who picked up the car from the Hyundai garage on Bury Road said: "It is lovely of them and we are really pleased.

"I think it shows they have excellent customer care as they have put a huge effort into doing this for Liana, and taken such trouble to reply to her letter."

Anne, her husband Nigel, and sons George, aged six, Liam aged 12 and Liana took the car, dubbed "the next big thing" to Bradford to take part in a four wheel drive off the road rally and visited Liana's pals to show it off.
