SUPERIOR Pet beat Carl Chapman 11 A 264-137 in the Dixon Shield Final sponsored by Division One Furniture.
Superior Pet batted first and scored 114 runs with Lee Rhodes 18 runs, Debbie Hoyle 15 runs, Michelle Byrom, Dawn Chadwick, Carol Hill, and Karen Monks all scoring 12 runs.
Carl Chapman 11 A then batted but were dismissed for 80 runs with Bernadette Craft and Linda Hicks top scorers with 12 runs each. Superior Pet batted a second time and scored 150 runs with Debbie Hoyle 30 runs, Dawn Chadwick 21, Karen Monks 21, Sue De-riggs 19 runs being the top scorers.
Carl Chapman batted and runs required for victory seemed to be out of their reach when they lost batters early. Helen Davies 14 runs, Sam Cocker 11 runs, and Janet O'Connor 10 runs, offered some resistance but were dismissed for 57 runs.
