A NUMBER of angry Bolton Wanderers fans gripped by Premiership fever have still not received their season tickets three months after buying them.

The club has received several complaints from fans desperate to get their tickets before the first home game kicks off tonight.

Season ticket holders went to the Reebok yesterday as hundreds of other supporters queued for tickets for next Monday's home clash against Liverpool.

The club apologised to its fans over the season ticket delays -- ahead of the Wanderers Reebok game with Middlesbrough -- and blamed "teething problems" with its new TeamCard system for the problem.

The system uses a single electronic swipe card rather than individual tickets for each match.

But fans rang the club and the BEN yesterday criticising the new system.

Michelle Leech said her husband Mark's ticket had been sold to someone else.

She said: "I think it is disgusting. He has scrimped and saved for that ticket and now he is being messed around. We are very upset."

Another fan, Jane Wild, said her ticket had still not arrived last night, even though she paid for it in May.

She said: "It is ridiculous. The chairman Phil Gartside has complained not enough people have bought season tickets.

"It would help if they treated the fans they have got a bit better first and then they might get some more."

Queuing outside the Reebok stadium, fan Shaun Barstow said he had been waiting for more than an hour.

He said: "They have only got two windows open which is ridiculous.

"We have been here over an hour and the queue has hardly moved. It is not good enough."

Fellow supporter Diane Swift said: "It is not very Premiership class."

Gareth Moores, commercial director, said: "We are aware that there have been problems over the past week with people trying to get through to the ticket office and also with the issuing of TeamCard and we apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused.

"We are currently looking at our phone system as we know this is where most of the delays have occurred.

"We hope that all season ticket holders now have their Teamcard to use for the first home game tonight.

"With a new system like TeamCard, it takes time for everyone to get used to it and we ask supporters to be patient if we experience teething problems."
