I COMPLETELY agree with "An Irate Resident" (August 16, Mosque plan disbelief).
I, too, feel strongly that councillors making this decision do not live in Astley Bridge. Perhaps, if they had a mosque on their doorstep, their feelings would be different!
It's a farce. Planning permission is needed to improve our homes and living conditions -- a neighbour could object and the improvements wouldn't happen.
