The estate of Hoghton Tower buzzed to the tune of engines on Sunday as it hosted the tenth annual Classic Car Show.
Hundreds of vehicles, dating back as far as pre-1930, revved up the hill to show off their shiny bodywork to enthusiastic admirers.
There were even a couple of vintage Rolls Royces.
Among the highlights was a magnificently maintained Scammel with some serious military hardware in tow.
But it did not have to haul the heavy weapon far, as it is owned by Marshall's demolition firm, just next door to the Tower.
Freshly polished chrome shone in the sun and as owners picnicked by their vehicles, enthusiasts strolled around the arena, asking lots of technical questions about carburetters and pistons.
