NEW research into the North-west manufacturing sector predicts a substantial rise in communications technology investment over the next four years.
Telecoms specialist Your Communications and management consultancy Schema forecast a rise from £239 million in 2001 to £359 million in 2005. Natasha Payne, manufacturing sector manager at Your Communications, said: "The majority of new technology investment is used to increase efficiency, make manufacturers more accessible to customers or even open up new areas of trading."
