A RAMSBOTTOM woman, aged 69, has become the latest victim of handbag thieves.
The woman had just been dropped off by a taxi outside her Tanners Street home on Friday afternoon when she was approached by a man who claimed his car had broken down and needed water.
The woman went into her home at 2.20pm and the man followed. While she was distracted the "motorist" grabbed her handbag and fled.
He is described as white, approximately 35-years, 5ft 9 ins tall, thin with a deep tan and short brown hair.
