A WOMAN who lost her way in a busy town centre admitted charges of driving carelessly and having no insurance when she appeared before Rochdale magistrates.
Cheryl Ann Travis, aged 22, of Grassington Drive, Bury, was ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £225 and received six penalty points on her licence. Because she only passed her test last September her licence was revoked and she now has to take her test again.
The court was told how she drove across a junction in Rochdale for which she did not have right of way and collided with an oncoming landcruiser which in turn went out of control and hit two parked vehicles.
