INTERNATIONAL singing star Kathryn Harries visited Bolton during a sponsored walk from John O'Groats to Land's End.
Kathryn, who has featured at the English National Opera, was taking part in the walk to raise money for the charity Speakability.
The aim of her 'walk for words' was to help people overcome the effects of aphasia, a communication disorder that commonly occurs after a stroke or brain injury and affects more than 250,000 people in the UK.
She took part in a concert at Bolton Parish Church.
More than £2,000 was raised from the event which included entertainment from Bolton Barbershop Choir and Bolton Junior Youth Choir who also sang with Kathryn.
