Wanderers have officially cancelled the pre-season friendly against Spanish club Athletic Bilbao, which was scheduled to take place at the Reebok on Saturday, August 4.
Sam Allardyce and his team will be in Saudi Arabia competing in the King Fahd Cup, which starts on August 1. Wanderers have still to finalise plans for the first stage of their pre-season programme, which will involve them being based at a training camp in Valencia, Spain.
They had intended to kick off with a prestige friendly against Paris St German on July 21 but that game is now understood to be in doubt.
