A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a wealthy Bolton businessman.
Daniel O'Brien, pictured, formerly of Harwood, was found naked in his plush detached home near Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The 41-year-old man had suffered severe injuries, inflicted by an axe.
It is understood his body was discovered by his girlfriend Jan Charlton who had returned to his £250,000 house following a shopping trip with her five-year-old daughter.
Mr O'Brien had moved to Wakefield from Rawtenstall about four years ago, having previously lived in Harwood, where his elderly mother Elizabeth still lives.
A West Yorkshire police spokesman today confirmed that a 35-year-old woman, local to the Wakefield area, had been arrested in connection with Mr O'Brien's murder committed on May 23.
