SCHOOL governors can do an excellent job in local schools.
They represent parents and their children on the ruling bodies, and can offer important perspectives unavailable to staff and others.
Bolton is now trying to recruit more governors, and particularly want to attract ethnic volunteers.
Schools are a microcosm of the local community, and it is vital that decision-making there is balanced. We hope that more people respond to the recruitment campaign, and come forward for this rewarding role.
