GROWTH at the Trumeter Group in Radcliffe has led to a restructuring exercise.
The company, which manufactures industrial counting, measuring and timing systems, is having particular success in overseas markets which now generate 75 per cent of sales.
Chairman and Managing Director Peter Weidenbaum has become Executive Chairman of Trumeter Group Ltd and its UK and USA subsidiaries.
Mr Weidenbaum, who has more than 40 years' service with Trumeter, intends to concentrate on directing international operations in future.
Mr Jeffrey Allen has become Managing Director of Trumeter Company Ltd and is responsible for UK-based operations and sales. Mr Weidenbaum's son Daniel, Finance Director of Trumeter Company Ltd for the last three years, has become Finance Director of Trumeter Group Ltd and its subsidiaries.
Mr Allen, who was previously sales director and deputy managing director, joined the group 16 years ago as a technical manager.
He has taken a major role in Trumeter's evolution from mechanical engineering to its current status as an electronics components manufacturer.
Peter Weidenbaum, a former President of Bolton and Bury Chamber of Commerce and EEF Lancashire,was awarded the OBE in 1994 for services to training and industrial development.
