FOOTIE fan Sean Modlin is over the moon after his beloved Fulham stormed through Nationwide Division One to clinch a place in the Premiership next season.

Sean, 12, lives in Brookside, Coppull, but you're more likely to find him bellowing shouts of support down at Craven Cottage.

Sean, who attends Southlands High School, has lived in Coppull all his life, but anyone wondering why he supports the London team only need look to his dad Stephen.

Sean said: "My dad was born and brought up in Fulham. He has supported Fulham all his life so I grew up supporting them too."

His brother Ryan also follows the Cottagers, and this season the trio went to more than games.

Sean remembers his first game, when he was seven-years-old and the team lost to Northampton Town.

But the team has come a long way since then. Sean, whose favourite player is Louis Saha, explained: "I was there when we beat Preston to win Division Two in 1999 and was overjoyed when they won Division One this year." Sean has even met the club's chairman, Harrods millionnaire Mohammed Al Fayed. He explained: "After we won the Second Division championship he came up to one of the supporters' bars and I tapped him on the shoulder to say hello. Me and my brother Ryan ended up posing for a picture with him, which now takes pride of place in my bedroom. He was really friendly and was happy to be photographed."

Sean says his family are getting season tickets for next season but there is one other person more excited than him. "I am thrilled, but my dad is even more so because he hasn't seen them reach the top division for 33 years!"
