PAULO Wanchope was slaughtered on Sky TV on Monday night for a two-footed tackle.
Now we've all been brought up to profess that the two-footed tackle ranks somewhere in between murder and manslaughter in the scale of crimes and if the Sky TV commentators had got their way the striker would have had all manner of punishment bestowed upon him.
What nobody has ever taken the time to explain, however, is what is wrong with a two-footed tackle. As long as both feet are are in contact with the ball and not the opponent, as was the case with Wanchope, I can't see anything wrong with it.
