POLICE arrived at the home of Michael Hunt and found firefighters dealing with a wheelie bin blaze outside.
Bury magistrates were told that when officers tried to question Hunt, aged 34, he ran off.
He was eventually caught but became increasingly agitated and eventually had to be physically restrained and handcuffed before being arrested.
Mark Humphries, prosecuting, said it was around 9.45pm when police went to Hunt's home at Kirkstall Gardens, Radcliffe.
Hunt, who admitted a breach of the peace, was bound over in the sum of £100 for 12 months.
