LEIGH RMI believe they have found a diamond in young striker Troy Hayder.
The youngster, who joined the Hilton Park outfit from Winsford midway through the season, is a former Atherton Colls striker.
Hayder made his dream debut in the 2-1 win over Kingstonian when he not only produced a superb display but topped it with a stunning 11th minute goal.
His performance left assistant manager Dave Miller purring: "He had a fantastic debut and to come up with a goal like that shows he is one for the future.
"He has terrific body strength and good control and if we work on him over the summer he will be a bonus next season.
"He tired towards the end but he has definitely got something and hopefully he will go from strength to strength. To score a goal like that on his debut should give him a lot of confidence at this level. Although the season is ending he should be raring to go next season."
