BOLTON'S veteran badminton players scored a double win at the national league team championships in Milton Keynes.
They aided two Lancashire county sides to national titles, in the over 45s and over 50s.
Bolton Badminton League players who figured in the over 45s team were Avril Sloane, Steve Powers, Chris Vines and Bill Hamblett. They beat Surrey 10-2 in the final
Local players in the over 50s side were Geoff Williams, Sylvia Gill, Graham Holt, Elizabeth Greenwood and Angela Brown. The team beat Essex 9-3.
Lancashire's over 40s side, also in the final, lost to Surrey 5-7 in a closely fought match.
