A CAPACITY audience converged on Victoria Hall to hear 400 of Bolton's schoolchildren join in Spring Song.
The pupils from 20 schools performed alongside Bolton Music Service ensembles and a teachers' choir.
The event was organised by Bolton Metropolitan Schools' Music Association, with all proceeds in aid of Alzheimer's Research.
Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Alan Wilkinson was among those in the audience.
Schools taking part were Blackshaw; Brownlow Fold; Church Road; Clarendon; Gaskell; Heathfield; Kearsley West; Lostock; Masefield; The Oaks; Oxford Grove; Plodder Lane; Queen Street; St Andrew's RC; St Bernard's RC; St Columba's RC; St John's (Kearsley) CE; St Paul's CE; SS Peter and Paul's RC; and St Stephen's CE.
Guest conductor was Ken Lee, and he was assisted by Christine Eaves and Nicola Harris. Piano accompanist was Elaine Lowe.
Bolton Youth Percussion Ensemble performed under director Gary Watton, while Francis Roe was director of the SMA Teachers' Choir. Rockschool performed under director Ian Bamford.
