CAN you give a warm, friendly home to this lovely ginger cat which was abandoned by its owners?

The six-year-old was found by the RSPCA in an empty house in Bolton a few weeks ago -- his owners had moved out and left the loveable cat behind.

He has been named Ginnie by staff at the charity's local branch and has been chosen as the BEN Pet of the Month.

The cat was in a bad way when it was rescued by the RSPCA. It had been left for two days and had developed conjunctivitis.

But Ginnie is a brave cat and after being looked after by staff, he is now as fit and bubbly as ever.

A spokeswoman for the RSPCA said: "He has done very well. He is now back to full health and looking for a good home.

"He needs someone who won't abandon him again and give him a lot of love.

"He has got a lovely character, is very friendly and will make a great pet for someone."

If you can give Ginnie a new home, call the RSPCA on 521160.
