THE views of local people and users of Hoyle Park in Bury are being sought.

Extensive consultation has begun following an approach by Millers Bakery Machinery Ltd, which is looking to buy a small area of the park to expand their Chesham Fold Road operation.

Members of the Council's Executive Committee asked that local views be sought before any decision is taken.

As a result, the Bury East Area Board has set up a working group to oversee the consultation regarding the possible development.

Cllr Mike Connolly, area board chairman, said: "We want to ensure that this consultation is as wide and inclusive as possible and also ensure that local people are fully aware of the proposals and the issues involved."

Details of the proposals will be on display locally, at the Central Library in Bury and in the lobby of the Town Hall. Anybody who wishes to comment on these plans can call 0161 253 6348 or j.crausby@bury.gov.uk.
