A WARRANT was issued by magistrates for the arrest of a Ramsbottom man who failed to attend court to answer a series of charges including theft, disqualified driving, drugs possession and common assault.
Paul Shaw, 30, of Cemetery Road, Ramsbottom, had previously failed to appear before the bench at Rochdale claiming he was suffering from food poisoning.
When he failed to attend on the second occasion the magistrates issued a warrant without bail.
Shaw faces accusations of driving whilst banned and without insurance and obstructing a policeman in the execution of his duty in Rochdale, theft of electric toothbrushes from a store in Bolton and failing to surrender to custody at Bolton, possession of heroin and cannabis at Rochdale, and two offences of common assault at Rochdale.
The matters had previously been adjourned for pre-sentence reports.
