GROUNDWORK Business Environment Association hosts a Greening the Supply Chain event at Bury Town Hall on June 20.
It is hoped that a senior Ministerial figure will attend.
Mr Dennis Taylor, Chief Executive of Bury Council, is one of the speakers.
He said: "Large companies and public authorities are increasingly seeking to select and work with suppliers who can demonstrate good environmental practices.
"This event will describe what these organisations are looking for from their suppliers and why they are taking this issue so seriously."
