WESTSIDE XI have recorded maximum points from three games played.

They dismissed Daisy Hill CC A for 53 in the first innings. Westside batted and scored 103 runs, Daisy Hill batted a second time, but were soon dismissed for 27 runs.

Heaton XI have suffered two defeats in B Section, but just lost by four runs to Rose Lea. The scores being level at 48 runs each at half time.

Aspull Ladies XI C led Imago 57-56 at the interval, and the score card revealed that only five bad balls had been bowled. The second innings was also close with Imago scraping home 115-1097.

Carters Arms E recorded their first victory of the season when they beat Adlington St Pauls 125-120.

Widdows Mason XI and Horwich RMI met with each team having two previous victories. Widdows Mason XI held the upper hand at the interval with 85 62 run advantage, however the RMI came back in the second innings to win by 12 runs.

Redgate Ladies F have six points from three games with a convincing win by an innings over Knights XI.

Assured Ladies and Hanson had a close encounter in G, with Assured Ladies winning by four runs after trailing by 52 runs at half time.

Battled

Turton Ladies and The Grapes H battled in the heavy ground conditions at Turton. The Grapes won by an innings 95-88, but credit goes to both teams how the game was played.

Cherry Tree Ladies' record is 'three out of three', but Tonge Fold XI played their part and lost by 10 runs.

Hatfield XI B recorded their second victory when they beat Little Lever CC B 175(D)-152 in L Section.

The referee stopped the game due to bad light between Westhoughton CC Ladies and Bromley Cross Misfits. When the scores were counted, the Misfits had won by five runs 244-239.

Some scorers are having problems with wet pages due to the poor weather conditions. Weatherwriters can be obtained from Dennis Foulkes 01204 417852 which should end these problems.

JP Ladies A led Darcy Lever CC A 68-65 in the first innings. Darcy were then dismissed for 37 runs in the second innings, leaving JP requiring 35 runs for victory. Darcy then dismissed JP for 26 runs which left Darcy winners 102-94.

Craven Heifers top M Section with six points, after beating American Express 110(D)-94.

Hulton Ladies, a new team in the bottom section, recorded their third win over Smithills Coaching House B 204-124.

Tonight games are now due to commence at 7pm, but some teams are hoping to start earlier in an effort to beat the fading light.
