Wanderers are preparing for two crucial home games in the space of four days without the services of top scorer, Michael Ricketts.
The 20-goal striker will be suspended for Saturday's clash with Wimbledon and the re-scheduled derby with Stockport next Tuesday leaving Sam Allardyce to rely on the experience of Dean Holdsworth and the pace and penetration of young loan signing Andy Campbell as he looks for a home run to the Premiership.
With nine games of the regular season remaining, Wanderers need a marked improvement in form at the Reebok, where they haven't won for five games and where they left the field to a chorus of boos after being held to a 3-3 draw by Gillingham.
But they bounced back with a 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest - a result which, allied to recent slips by Birmingham and Blackburn, have put them back in the driving seat for an automatic promotion place.
