FIREFIGHTERS raced to a Farnworth home as smoke poured from a tumble dryer.
Firemen were called to the house in Hereford Crescent after the homeowner was alerted by smoke seaping through the house. The emergency was dealt with within minutes.
A fire brigade spokesman said friction between the tumble dryer's drum and clothes produced the smoke. No one was injured.
