BOLTON Under 15s were held to a 1-1 draw by Wakefield in their Northern Merit League match at Hacken Lane on Saturday.

The local lads took the lead when Sam Garner (Canon Slade) fired a shot into the top of the net but the Yorkshire side hit back to level the scores before the break.

Bolton had a large amount of possession but goalkeeper Chris Cunniffe (Deane) came to their rescue making a super save in the last minute.

Bolton Under 14s were celebrating after beating Bury 3-1 in their Greater Manchester Schools' League match at the Derby School .

It was Bolton's first league win of the season and they were quick off the mark opening the scoring after just five minutes through William Kirkman (Sharples), who notched his first goal of the season for the town team.

The scoreline stayed the same until the break but Bolton added a second early in the second half when Cabbar Bagdadi (Sharples) fired home a well struck volley.

Bury reduced the arrears through Oliver McGee but Bolton clinched victory with a last gasp goal from Bagdadi.

Bolton have another League match this week when they travel to meet Manchester at Belle Vue on Wednesday (4.30pm) while Bury Under 14s complete their League campaign with a trip to meet Rochdale at Cardinal Langley School on Wednesday (5pm).
