A Horwich social club has been given the green light for a taxi rank on its own grounds.
Bolton's Planning Committee agreed the RMI Club in Ramsbottom Road, which has more than 1000 members, could have the taxi rank for a two year test period.
As reported in the BEN, many regulars at the club come from Bolton and Wigan and rely on taxis to get them home. Jack Bailey, who runs his own taxi business in Church Street, Horwich, will run the new rank which could open within weeks.
