TWELVE-year-old Ashley Gavin proved she was in top form when she took the honours at a music festival.
Ashley, of Ainsworth Lane, Bolton, who attend Thornleigh Saleisan College, entered the prestigious West Pennine Music Festival at Oldham. Clarinetist Ashley won her woodwind class and was invited back the next day, to compete for The Oldham Lyceum Cup.
Despite being up against other instruments including piano and strings in the 13 and under category, the youngster, won in front of an audience of about 80.
