BMSS swimmers Kate Docton, Hollie Harthern, Ben Johnson, Karl Holland, Chris Holmes and Sean Rushton took part in the Glasgow Grand Prix.

Kate,Ben, Chris and Karl competed in the Grand Prix, which attracted world class swimmers including Pieter Van Hoogenband,the fastest freestyle swimmer in the world. All the BMSS swimmers competed admirably,with Karl Holland producing a two second PB in the 200m breaststroke, Sean Rushton swimming five long course National Qualifying Times out of seven swims and Ben Johnson qualifying for the Youth Olympic Trials to be held at the new 50m facility at the Manchester Aquatic Centre during April.

Karl Holland travelled back from Glasgow to swim in the Lancashire Championships at Wigan and along with Lucy Finn and Nicole Whitehead also qualified for the Youth Olympic Trials .

Chief Coach Dave Evitts said: "These results confirm just how much the squad has moved forward. We can now build on this and look forward to a bright future".
