CAN anyone tell me why we are not getting our dustbins emptied on Georges Lane, and maybe in other areas in the borough?
We are getting milk deliveries, post and mail services. Daily, there are hundreds of vehicles using the lane, comprising lorries from the quarries, and vehicles and cars using the many aerial stations on Winter Hill, local residents, and many visits from people tending their horses and walking their dogs.
Refuse units, similar to the ones used by the council, pass by. It just does not make sense. How long will it be before we are calling for action to be taken to rid the area of rats? I do not see any reason why vermin would not spread this foot and mouth disease!
