OFF to London in 1967 to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace were 35 children from Pikes Lane Junior School, Bolton.
The visit to the Palace was one of the highlights of their four-day visit to the capital. It was the first time in the school's history that a school party had gone on an organised holiday.
