STAFF at the Royal Bolton Hospital are being trained to become more disabled-friendly .
A team of six are the first to pass a pioneering new training course with flying colours.
The course, led by wheelchair-bound Gill Buckland, has turned their attitude and awareness of disabled people completely on its head. Run by the Bury and District Disabled Advisory Council, the hospital staff looked at their responsibilities to the disabled.
Gill Buckland said: "We were delighted when Bolton Hospitals asked us to devise this course -- they really are leading the way and are streets ahead of other health organisations in this matter."
