COMPANIES are being offered two new discounted services aimed at creating a healthier workforce.

Members of the Bolton and Bury Chamber of Commerce are being encouraged to take part in its Lifestyle health promotion scheme.

Lorna McArthur of Positive Results UK -- a qualified counselling psychologist -- is offering fellow Chamber members a 20 per cent discount on an initial stress audit for companies (lasting three hours) and half price stress assessment for individuals on a one-to-one basis.

And Fit for the Occasion, which supports firms looking to reduce absenteeism, sickness and stress in the workplace by promoting health through physical wellbeing, is offering members a 10 per cent discount on its services.

These include health and lifestyle education workshops, cost analysis of sickness and health in the workplace, individual health and lifestyle consultations and plans, development and implementation of company health promotion strategies and personal fitness training.
