WITH reference to Stephen M. Rock's letter in Wednesday's BEN, my experience of Ruth Kelly is quite different. She has responded quickly and effectively to my letters. The information she gave in one reply led to a refund of VAT on my Careline and after I wrote about the Postal Workers' strike she immediately arranged for their union representative to contact me directly to explain the dispute and its resolution. Close friends confirm that their letters to Mrs Kelly have also been answered speedily and effectively. I must admit that I would prefer to be represented by a Liberal Democrat MP with stronger links to the local community, but I feel honour-bound to set the record straight.
