I AM writing this letter after learning of Bolton magistrates' recent decision not to reveal the names of "yobs".
In the part of the United States where I live, we have a TV show called 'Caught in Providence' which is basically a camera in the local courtroom.
You can tune in every week to see judgement passed on those who are alleged to have broken the law, even those who turn out to be innocent.
The TV station doesn't appear to have any reservations on revealing names, faces and, in some cases, addresses.
Most of the cases involve minor offences such as parking tickets. I wonder how some of the parking offenders who have recently written to you would react to being shown on TV?
