WITH reference to Bolton's 17-year old-thug, defence counsel Isobel Gray states that he could be victimised.

My answer to that statement is that in fact he should be victimised, at every opportunity.

Society lives by rules and regulations, for the protection of all mankind, including the victims. If any person breaks this code of behaviour they give up any rights that they held beforehand, and should be treated as such.

The juvenile has not lost the plot. The legal system has lost the plot -- big time. They have failed to protect the majority of decent people by condoning her client's behaviour.

I am afraid that the problems in society will increase and deteriorate further unless someone has the bottle to bring out the 'big stick' and get back to basics.

The legal system does not work and must be changed, but then I am only a common man using common sense.

Can the boat be rocked, or is it just an idealistic thought? After all, large salaries and expense accounts are commanded by people who argue black is in fact white, and vice versa.
