ENGLAND World Cup winner and Fulham legend, George Cohen, can hardly wait to see his beloved Cottagers take their place in the Premiership.

And, in 24-goal top scorer, Louis Saha, the hero of 1966 reckons they have the firepower to hit the heights in the top flight.

Cohen, right-back in Alf Ramsey's "wingless wonders", reckons the Craven Cottage hit-man, signed from French club FC Metz last summer, is one of the season's bargain buys and is only sorry he isn't English.

"I can't believe he only cost £1.2 million," Cohen admits, having been impressed with him during his loan spell with Newcastle two seasons ago.

"I reckon he must be worth ten times that now - but he's not for sale.

"Saha looks to have everything - pace, power and a finish. He has frightened defences to death in the First Division and I'm certain he will do the same in the Premiership.

"How Newcastle United managed to let him slip through their fingers, I'll never know but I'm delighted for Fulham that they did. He is a tremendous prospect and I only wish he was English."
