Pupils join the after-school club A SWINTON primary school is to get a new out-of-school club after sharing in a £61,789 grant.

Moorside Primary will get the club thanks to money from the new opportunities fund which is being used to create 216 new childcare places across Salford.

Other clubs to benefit are Holly House nursery, Charlestown out-of-school club and Seedley County Primary School which provide a variety of play and education activities.

Cllr Roger Jones, the council's lead member for education, said: "Some of these places will be available to children in the most disadvantaged areas. The money will be used to provide stimulating opportunities for children where they will be looked after by qualified staff."
