A NEW hotline will match Bury homeseekers with vacant council properties.
Bury council has set up the new telephone service in a bid to fill empty houses and flats across the borough.
The authority's housing spokesman Cllr John Smith said: "While in some areas of the borough our properties are almost permanently occupied, in others accommodation is often available.
"I believe the introduction of the hotline will be an important element in our strategy to continually improve the services." The Empty Property Hotline can be contacted on 0161 2537884.
