I AM writing to you about the home game with Grimsby. It was the first time I'd seen the Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium, I enjoyed it and it won't be the last time I'll see them. But for the game -- rubbish.

The defence was alright, but it was the keeper Banks and his stupid mistake in letting Grimsby in twice. If Bolton are to go up they are going to have to change their keeper and put Wright in goal, he has more experience than Banks.

When Jaaskelainen was in goal, we had clean sheets, after the Blackburn game when four were let in. Something must be done very quickly, while we are still second. Blackburn are not the only team I am watching, I am also keeping a watch on Birmingham, and when Wanderers go off on their travels they should take a look at the away pitches.

Instead of putting sand down for grass, put good old soil mixed with peat for turf, and I am sure there will be plenty of grass on the pitch, instead of no grass at all. I'd sooner have turf on the ground rather than grass seeds, it does not work I've tried it in my back garden, it's no good at all. One of the best pitches to have a look at has to be Bury's pitch.

Back to the goalkeepers, why don't they get the youth team keeper in for extra training, it's better being safe than sorry.

The only thing I didn't like about the Grimsby game was being sat next to the Grimsby dug-out, I'll make sure I am next to Sam's dug-out, then I can roar them on properly when they come running out at the next home game, and for the rest of the home games.
