OVER the last few weeks I have been constantly and repeatedly overwhelmed by all the letters that have been sent regarding myself and 'Phoenix Nights'.
Many of them defended me and spoke up for the series.
To everybody who took the trouble to write: "Thank you." It means a lot to me that I mean so much to you. And no, I'm not getting all soppy.
Regarding the 'Phoenix Club', who knows what the future holds, and whether it will rise once again from the ashes remains to be seen.
Regarding my future, I intend to continue celebrating my home town, Bolton, for a long, long time to come.
